With reference to the day when the sun is overhead on the Tropic of Cancer, 2 Tropics and 2 T temperates are divided into four quadrants of each. Therefore, four quadrants of the Tropics are different from four quadrants of the Temperates.
Four quadrants of the Tropics are:
-east north of first quadrant long daylight,
-west north of second quadrant long night,
-west south of third quadrant short night and
-east south of forth quadrant short daylight hours tropics.
Four quadrants of the Temperates are:
-east north of first quadrant of longer daylight,
-west north of second quadrant of shorter night,
-west south of third quadrant longer night and
-east south of forth quadrant shorter daylight hours.
